When children you used to babysit for when you were a teenager start getting married...that's when you start to feel old. Again, SO much fun to photograph the wedding of people who are near and dear to me. This was an out of the box wedding and was tons of fun! Congrats Josh and Emily!
I get to work with this awesome family on a frequent basis and it never gets old. So much fun, great people and Madison is beautiful and so easy to photograph. Mom and best friend came along for a few pics together at the Ozark Mill as well.
This is a bit outside the norm, but I got to go on an amazing vacation to one of my favorite places this summer so I thought I'd share a few of my favorite photos from the trip. We went to Colorado Springs, Denver and Aspen and each place was more beautiful than words can describe. I always leave Colorado wondering why anyone (including me) would want to live anywhere else on earth.
Working with this family always makes me love my job even more. 3 beautiful girls and just some of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. We got lucky and scheduled these outdoor photos for the perfect summer day when it was nice and cool and the flowers were all in bloom at Nathaniel Green park.
I've wanted to do senior photos in every season for a long time! I was so excited to work with Megan who wanted the same thing! She's super photogenic and was basically a pro model by our last session this Spring.
This wedding was so much fun! I loved all of the little details and love shown throughout the day. It was my honor to be a part of this special day!

This is my 3rd year working with the students from The Academy of Hair Design doing Hair Wars! Every year they blow me away with their talent and attention to detail. This years theme was "Shapes" and it was cool to see all of the different ways the students translated that.

It's always fun to work with the siblings of past clients! John was super easy to photograph and a great kid all around. He is super smart and friendly and I'm sure there are great things in store for him as he gets ready to graduate high school and pursue his dreams of being a business owner!
I've known Cody since he was just a little kid. It makes me so happy to see him with Sarah who is just obviously his perfect match. It's always fun to photograph the weddings of friends I know and care about so much. Before the wedding, we went out to the family farm to get some intimate photos of just the bride and groom. I love how they turned out. Congrats Cody and Sarah! Excited to see what the future has in store for you. I know it will bring you many years of happiness together.
It was so fun to get to take photos of this family who has been a part of my life since I was 10 years old! Everyone was in town for Cody and Sarah's wedding so we took advantage of that by getting these family photos. So many memories at their old family farm house which Cody and Sarah now get to call home.
I was so excited to get the chance to work with Sarah again after how much fun we had at her senior session! Her in this amazing dress was perfection. And, though it was windy, we had great light to work with and the rain held off until literally SECONDS after we finished shooting.
Porsha originally contacted me this winter but after we met and talked about what she wanted for her senior photos, we decided it would be better to wait until spring when the sunshine and pretty colors would match her fun and sparkling personality. I'm glad we did! We got the perfect warm and sunshiny day for these photos and I think her bubbly personality really shines through.
Sarah is a dear friend and an extremely talented artist! She came to me for some fun and creative head shots that she could use on her website that would showcase her talent as well as her personality. I had a blast working with Carmen on these creative maternity photos! She wanted something artistic and unique and I think we achieved that! As Carmen is a fellow photographer, I was honored that she trusted me with the opportunity to take her photos and I love the results we came up with!
My inspiration for these photos was mother nature, growth and new life. Carmen loves the outdoors and nature and this was her first baby. She is obviously very brave and wasn't afraid to get a little cold in order to get the perfect pics!

I had a blast working with Bailey! She volunteers her time as an artist to the Springfield Little theatre so we wanted to incorporate that into her photo shoot. The people at Lander's Theatre were kind enough to let us use their beautiful space as a backdrop for our photo shoot and I think we ended up with a ton of great, creative images! After we finished shooting at the theatre, we went a few doors down the street to a local bookstore to grab some fun editorial shots there since Bailey also loves to read. I am so happy with how these turned out!
I had a ton of fun with this sweet girl at her photo shoot! We started out in the studio and then moved to Founders Park in downtown Springfield and found a few other fun places close by.
